What are my options?

Original Arcade Cabinet

There's nothing quite like playing an original machine! It's like an instant emotional switch is flicked that whisks you back in time.

If you're going down this route you have to appreciate the fact that the machines are 20 to 30 years old. This means that there will be some wear and tear to the cabinet body. We prepare the cabinet to make it look its best and can replace artwork if required, but if you're going for the true retro feel, the original artwork does carry an air of nostalgia.

The main reason for an original canbinet failing is poor maintenance. The majority haven't been touched for many, many years, this is why an old machine can get a bad reputation for being unreliable. It doesn't have to be like this! We service the power supply, game board and the monitor to breathe a new lease of life back into the machine. If prepared correctly there's no reason why it won't live on for another 20 years.

Generic Arcade Machine

As arcade machines moved out of the eighties the trend for cabinets started to move from dedicated designs, to generic cabinets that would then be branded with the games graphics / top marquee. This allowed site operators to quickly change a game without having to replace the cabinet.

If you have a favourite game this is the most cost effective route to go. Let's take Wonder Boy as an example. We can take an original Wonder Boy game card, service it to ensure there are no board issues, then install it into a fully prepared generic cabinet.

Like our retro machines preparation is key for us. The principle points of failure on an arcade machine, the power supply and the monitor are overhauled, all wiring is inspected and controls are tested and replaced if necessary.

Plus, the cabinet can even be customised with the games original marquee and side art to further enhance the feeling of the original game. We can even 're-skin' the arcade machine with vinyl to create a new looking machine.

New MultiGame Arcade Machine

Over the past few years the MultiGame arcade machine has become a very popular choice. This beast not only gives you the chance to play your favourite game, it can also provide many, many more games! It's like having an entire arcade in just one cabinet. Once you're at the controls on the machine you soon realise that the MultiGame provides the magic of playing an original arcade machine.

On the occasion when your game isn't provided through a MultiGame card we're able to give you the option of running the original game card, along with a MultiGame card. This is thanks to our highly skilled technicians who are able to produce custom wiring looms that allow you to safely change from the original game card to a MultiGame card with the flick of a switch.
