Midway Galaxian takes Space Invaders and kicks it square in the nuts! Here's a game that really started the arcade dance. That crazy movement that you do when playing a machine that is as entertaining as playing itself.
The game is fast! Like Space Invaders there are aliens bearing down on you but in Galaxian you have full colour shenanigans with the added danger of swooping space ships that not only fire at they dive bomb you they'll also take one for the team and wipe you out with them.
When groups of aliens come swooping down you can grab various bonuses depending on how you dispatch them. Some quick fire shooting can see you rack up an impressive score.
Midway Galaxian was the benchmark game of the 80's. It's innovations were repeated in many games of that era. Did you know this is the first game where the sprites, that's the graphics, were multi coloured. This adds depth to them, giving each one its own distinctive personality.
This is classic 10p guzzling gameplay at it's best!
