Daytona USA was originally launched in 1994. To this day it is still a superb driving experience that set the bench for driving games. No other driving game since has achieved the profitability of this machine. In the arcade industry the phrase "It's no Daytona" is often heard when describing other driving games.
The reason for all of this success is that Daytona USA gives you the feeling of what it's like to drive a 750BHP NASCAR stock car around Daytona's high bank turns! Hug just inches behind the car ahead of you at speeds of up to 200MPH! It's a superb virtual reality driving feast that provides adrenaline pumping thrills of world class stock racing.
The wonderfully rendered images are provided by 32-bit three-dimensional polygon graphics combined with realistic audio and handling that supplies everything but the smell of the pits.
This twin cabinet is adorned with two 26" high resolution monitors to give you a crisp clean view of the action.
Play is fast and varied. Choose from a warm up on the high speed oval course before testing your driving skills on the advanced Grand Canyon run or an all out powerfest on the madcap seaside course. To get you into the game you can choose automatic transmission, but once you've mastered the handling manual transmission gives you the edge.
Race against the clock on the Time Trial option or go head-to-head against another driver to produce a tense race to the finish line in the excellent check-point style racing game.
