Two beautiful ladies, a Ferrari of your choice and your running roads in excess of 200 mph. Yes, life is good!
Outrun 2, released in 2004 by Sega-AM2, is the sequel to famed developer Yu Suzuki's 1986 Outrun. The game builds on the original concept of driving a Ferrari with a sweet young gal in the passenger seat through challenging courses of the players choice.
Players now have eight Ferraris to choose from, each car with unique handling characteristics based on the actual models, all courtesy of an official Ferrari license for this game. There are four groups of cars based on difficulty — novice, lower intermediate and higher intermediate groups with cars sorted by handling and top speed and, of course, expert.

Players have a choice of three game modes. Outrun Mode is essentiallly the same gameplay as the original Outrun where the player drives five of the 15 available courses. There is a time limit which is extended as the player passes checkpoints. Heart Attack Mode is an open-ended course with a time limit but the passenger provides suggestions for stunts and other actions that can be executed during certain portions of the track. Players earn hearts for each successful stunt done for his sweetheart. In Time Attack Mode, players race the clock and can race their own previous runs or a CPU generated opponent.
The twin 29"monitors display vivid colours to brilliantly render the effects and 3-D scenery that add to the realism of the game.
Cars are placed in four groups based on handling and top speed. Players can select from and Enzo and F40 in the expert group, the Testarossa and 288 GTO in the advanced intermediate group, the F50 and 360 Spider in the intermediate group and the Dino 246 GTS and 365 GTS/4 Daytona round out the selection for the novice class.
The game's courses provide players with varied and stunningly scenery as they run the courses. Different courses include Alp like mountains, tropical forests, beautiful sea coasts and deserts.

The sound track is even better than the original with more choices for the players as well as the original memorable soundtracks.
